The aim of the Fulcrum engineers has been to develop a product that is ideal for training and recreational fun, whilst being resistant and reliable for numerous uses.
The new hubs share the same shell as the hubs used in the Red Zone Carbon and Red Zone 3. The differences are found in the axle and the bearings: in the Red Zone 5 we have used sealed, long-lasting and efficient bearings, which can be micro-adjusted with a specific adjustment ring.
Red Zone 5 feature a 2-WAY FIT READY rim with a height of only 18.6 mm and a new asymmetrical section, which has been redesigned specifically to ensure the optimal balance of the spoke tension.
The width of the rim is wider compared to previous versions, so that they can be used with lower pressures, for improved grip and control in the most extreme conditions.
A tone-on tone design, with a partly glossy and partly matt finish, wraps the rim profile around the valve area, whilst the traditional red box, with the logo, can be found on the opposite side of the rim.

The Racing 6 is an entry level wheel with a race-ready soul. The same Fulcrum quality and performance as the rest of the line with advanced characteristics such as a differentiated profile and Spoke Dynamic Balance technology. Fulcrum engineers have pushed the quality of these wheels even further incorporating an asymmetric rear rim that increases performance in terms of lateral and torsional rigidity as well as reactivity. The already best-in-class Racing 5 wheelset goes from high to higher performance thanks to its new design. The same qualities that have made the Racing 5 LG such a popular wheelset in the past, combined with new elements in order to make an affordable but also race ready wheel. The 20 spoke design in addition to the 17C wide asymmetric rear rim profile offers remarkable performance in terms of both increased lateral and torsional rigidity as well as increased reactivity. The new design allows for more homogenous spoke tensions and makes for a sturdier, higher performing wheelset.
